Forklift hydraulic hoses are the flexible high-pressure lines that carry oil to the lift, tilt, steering and attachment circuits. Most use single or double wire-braid construction such as SAE 100R1 or 100R2/R2AT, sized by inside diameter and rated to the pressure of their circuit. ForkliftIQ supplies replacement hoses and made-to-order assemblies compatible with Heli, Hangcha, EP, Toyota and other major brands.
Replacement forklift hydraulic hoses and crimped assemblies compatible with Heli, Hangcha, EP, Toyota, UN Forklift and most major brands. ForkliftIQ ships wire-braid hose, fittings and complete made-to-order assemblies factory-direct from verified suppliers, matched to your ID, pressure rating and fitting spec.
Hose types & construction
Forklift hydraulic lines are typically flexible rubber hoses reinforced with steel wire braid. Single-braid hose (SAE 100R1) suits medium-pressure circuits, while double-braid hose (SAE 100R2 or 100R2AT) handles higher working pressures such as main lift and steering feed lines. Each grade is rated per its SAE specification — we select the hose to the circuit rating rather than quoting a fixed burst figure, since the correct grade depends on your machine.
Beyond pressure lines, trucks also run lower-pressure return and suction hose back to the tank, and some attachments use PTFE (Teflon-lined) hose where heat or aggressive fluids are a factor. Getting the construction right is the first step in a safe replacement.
Where forklift hoses are used
A lift truck routes hydraulic hose to several circuits. The lift circuit feeds the mast cylinders that raise and lower the carriage. The tilt circuit drives the cylinders that pitch the mast forward and back. The steering circuit carries oil to the steer orbital and cylinder, and the attachment circuit (auxiliary or 3rd/4th function) powers side-shifters, fork positioners, clamps and rotators.
- Lift circuit — mast raise/lower cylinders
- Tilt circuit — mast forward/back cylinders
- Steering circuit — orbital & steer cylinder
- Attachment circuit — side-shift, clamp, rotate
- Return & suction lines — flow back to tank
- Pump & valve interconnects — bank plumbing
Signs a hydraulic hose needs replacing
Hoses are wear items and should be inspected on schedule. Replace a hose when you see oil leaks or seepage at the ends, weeping or crimped fittings, bulging or ballooning of the cover under pressure, abrasion or chafing that exposes the wire braid, or cracking and hardening of the outer cover from heat and age. Kinked, twisted or heat-damaged sections and any loss of holding pressure are also clear replacement signals. A hose showing exposed reinforcement should be taken out of service — never patched.
How to identify & spec the right hose
Match five things and the assembly will fit. First, the inside diameter, expressed as a dash size (-04, -06, -08 and so on in sixteenths of an inch). Second, the pressure rating appropriate to that circuit, selected per the hose rating. Third, the fitting type and thread at each end — commonly JIC 37°, ORFS (O-ring face seal) or BSP — plus whether the end is straight, 45° or 90°. Fourth, the overall length measured between sealing faces. Fifth, the bend radius, so the hose can route without kinking.
The fastest path is the number printed on the hose layline. If that's gone, send us the old hose or photos of both fittings plus the layflat length, and we'll build an equivalent assembly. We list parts as compatible with named brands; they are aftermarket replacements, not OEM-branded unless stated.
Compatibility & sourcing
ForkliftIQ sources hoses and fittings factory-direct from verified suppliers, including a parts partner carrying 85,000+ SKUs across electric and IC forklift platforms. When a stock assembly isn't available, we crimp made-to-order assemblies to your dash size, length and end fittings. Coverage spans Heli, Hangcha, EP, Toyota, UN Forklift, Xilin and other common fleets.
We dropship worldwide on FOB or CIF terms. For exact hose grade, fitting spec, assembly length and pricing, request a quote — we confirm fitment before shipping rather than publishing specs we can't guarantee.
| Circuit | Function | Typical hose |
|---|---|---|
| Lift | Mast raise/lower cylinders | Wire-braid (per rating) |
| Tilt | Mast forward/back cylinders | Wire-braid (per rating) |
| Steering | Orbital & steer cylinder | Wire-braid (per rating) |
| Attachment | Side-shift, clamp, rotate | Wire-braid / PTFE |
| Return | Flow back to tank | Low-pressure return |
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I identify the right forklift hydraulic hose?
Match four things: inside diameter (the dash size), the hose pressure rating for that circuit, the fitting type and thread (JIC, ORFS or BSP), and the overall length with end orientation. Send us the old hose or a photo of the fittings and the layflat length and we'll build an equivalent assembly.
Can you make hydraulic hose assemblies to order?
Yes. We supply made-to-order assemblies crimped to your ID, length and fitting spec, as well as bulk hose and loose fittings. Give us the dash size, the pressure rating and the two end fittings and we'll confirm the build before shipping.
What SAE hose rating do forklift circuits use?
Most forklift lift, tilt and steering lines use single or double wire-braid hose such as SAE 100R1 or 100R2/R2AT, selected per the working pressure of that circuit. We match the hose to the circuit rating rather than publishing a fixed burst figure, since the correct grade depends on your machine.
Do you ship hydraulic hoses worldwide with an MOQ?
We dropship worldwide on FOB or CIF terms from verified suppliers. MOQ depends on whether you need a single replacement, a service kit or distributor volume. Send your hose list in a quote request and we'll confirm quantities, lead time and pricing.
