Documents to request

Ask for the complete model and option codes, a dated model-specific data sheet, dimensions, the configuration-specific load chart, battery and charger data, attachment approval, tyre specification, operator and maintenance manuals, scheduled service requirements and the applicable destination-market conformity records. The contracting party should identify who commissions the truck, provides training, supports diagnostics, supplies parts and carries warranty responsibility.

How to compare an alternative

Build one comparison sheet and hold the operating case constant. Use the same load, load centre, lift height, attachment, aisle or route, gradients, floor, temperature, shifts and charging window for every candidate. Ask suppliers to show where each quoted value comes from and whether it is standard, optional, calculated, tested or dependent on a market package.

Separate truck price from the operating system around it. Include charger and electrical work, battery replacement assumptions, tyres, scheduled service, diagnostic access, software or telematics fees, training, commissioning, freight, spare parts and expected downtime support. Parts and service identity

The family name is not sufficient for a parts match. Preserve the data plate, full model, serial number, mast and attachment details, battery voltage, controller and display labels, old component number, connectors, ports, mounting points and dimensions. Ask the source of every proposed replacement: catalogue record, drawing, supersession notice or written manufacturer confirmation.

Empty-container duty stays explicit

Identify the container condition and mass before selecting this route. Do not transfer a reach-stacker or heavy-forklift rating to a masted handler because the machines share a terminal application. Require the actual chart and instructions.

Keep spreader identity, container height and stacking sequence together. An alternative spreader or mast can change the approved case. Ask the seller to explain each option and its supporting document rather than relying on a family photograph.

Standard height and high cube

The manufacturer table distinguishes two container heights. Use the corresponding case when preparing a stacking requirement. Ask for clearance and height information with the mast, spreader and site conditions stated.

The highest quoted stacking combination does not establish unrestricted lifting at every load or location. Agree the representative containers and positions for commissioning, and retain the relevant restrictions with the operating record.

Test the energy assumptions

A runtime or charging-duration statement needs a duty and system boundary. Ask for the battery specification, starting state, operating cycle, temperature and charger assumptions. Compare those conditions with the planned shifts rather than copying the headline into a guaranteed schedule.

Identify who supplies charging equipment, reviews local electrical capacity and carries installation responsibility. Keep infrastructure costs and service arrangements separate from truck price. No site-specific operating-cost saving is asserted here.

Keep the E-series code exact

XCH908E, XCH907E and newer E5 codes have separate records. Do not inherit specifications from a similarly named machine. Keep the full code, mast, spreader, battery and software revision with the offer.

For parts, preserve motor, controller, battery, charging and mast component identities. Ask the supplier to document diagnostic access, warranty responsibility and local support for the offered electrical system.
