What is in the drive system
Electric forklifts use AC or DC motors. Modern trucks run AC traction and pump motors paired with Curtis or ZAPI controllers; older trucks use DC motors with brushes. The drive axle houses the gear reduction and differential. Encoders mount on the motor to report RPM and direction.
