Documents to request
Ask for the complete model and option codes, a dated model-specific data sheet, dimensions, the configuration-specific load chart, battery and charger data, attachment approval, tyre specification, operator and maintenance manuals, scheduled service requirements and the applicable destination-market conformity records. The contracting party should identify who commissions the truck, provides training, supports diagnostics, supplies parts and carries warranty responsibility.
How to compare an alternative
Build one comparison sheet and hold the operating case constant. Use the same load, load centre, lift height, attachment, aisle or route, gradients, floor, temperature, shifts and charging window for every candidate. Ask suppliers to show where each quoted value comes from and whether it is standard, optional, calculated, tested or dependent on a market package.
Separate truck price from the operating system around it. Include charger and electrical work, battery replacement assumptions, tyres, scheduled service, diagnostic access, software or telematics fees, training, commissioning, freight, spare parts and expected downtime support. A lower equipment price can produce a higher operational cost when these boundaries are omitted.
Commercial and delivery boundary
Record the legal seller, Incoterm, delivery location, included options, excluded installation work, document language, acceptance method, warranty start, response time and responsible service entity. Require written change control when the supplier substitutes a mast, battery, charger, tyre, controller or software package after the technical review.
Parts and service identity
The family name is not sufficient for a parts match. Preserve the data plate, full model, serial number, mast and attachment details, battery voltage, controller and display labels, old component number, connectors, ports, mounting points and dimensions. Ask the source of every proposed replacement: catalogue record, drawing, supersession notice or written manufacturer confirmation.
Deck carrying and towing are different ratings
Define whether goods are carried on the truck, pulled on a trailer or handled by separate loading equipment. Keep each operation on its own comparison line. A platform payload does not establish trailer mass, coupling force or safe operation of a train.
Ask who approves the coupling and trailers if towing is requested. Record the route, slopes, stops and any passenger restriction. The presence of a seat in a generic illustration does not establish an approved passenger position.
Confirm the delivered deck geometry
Request the usable platform drawing, loading height, supporting structure and restraint points. The overall width in a model table should not be silently treated as usable cargo area. Show the supplier the load footprint and loading method.
Compare the same loaded envelope across offers. A load that projects beyond the deck changes aisle and doorway questions. Agree the representative goods and route used for commissioning before the supplier finalizes the configuration.
Current and historical BD20 records
The current first-party table differs from some older market documents. This page does not merge those values. Keep the model revision, battery and drawing together so the delivered truck can be checked against one written offer.
Ask the seller to explain a dimension or component change instead of selecting the most attractive value from several documents. A shared BD20 name is a research starting point rather than a complete parts or configuration identity.
Service and operating system
Preserve axle, wheel, brake, controller, battery and charger references. Record access to maintenance instructions and diagnostics. Platform trucks should remain distinct from the tow-tractor category even when one supplier sells both.
Review charging supply, installation, instruction and service responsibility along with truck price. Published battery capacity does not establish runtime on the buyer's duty; require an operating plan tied to the actual route and shifts.
