Crown expands LPG cushion-tyre forklift choices for indoor handling

Crown’s 20 October announcement adds four C-G Series models. Buyers should compare tyres, surfaces and quoted configurations alongside capacity.

Crown has added four LPG-powered cushion-tyre forklifts to its C-G Series. Its US announcement dated 20 October 2026 gives the new models a published capacity range of 4,000–6,500 lb. For buyers, the useful distinction is the combination of fuel, tyres and intended operating surface, rather than the capacity range alone.

What Crown announced

The manufacturer positions the additions for indoor work and transitions outdoors where surface conditions are improved. They extend an internal-combustion portfolio that also includes pneumatic-tyre equipment. This announcement concerns the cushion-tyre additions; it does not establish that every C-G configuration serves the same environment.

Crown also identifies Tilt Position Assist as an option for returning the mast to vertical. Buyers should separate standard equipment from optional functions when comparing quotations. The release is a US-market announcement, so equipment offered in another country needs its own specification and supply confirmation.

Define the application before comparing trucks

A purchase brief should describe the full route: storage aisles, loading areas, thresholds and the points where work moves between buildings and external yards. Record the load dimensions, attachments and required lift heights alongside the nominal load weight. Ask the supplier to assess that combination and provide the applicable configuration documents.

Keep fuel arrangements and facility operating requirements visible in the same comparison. A launch announcement cannot determine whether a particular truck is appropriate for a specific workplace. Obtain the site assessment and supporting documentation from the responsible parties before treating a general application description as a selection decision.

Use the model comparison brief to record configuration differences, compare available sources through the supplier directory, and prepare a procurement request with the route and load information attached. These tools help organise the enquiry; a click is not a confirmed quotation or order.

Questions for the quotation

  • Which exact model, mast, tyres and attachments are included, and what load chart applies to that combination?
  • Which operator functions are standard, and which require an additional option?
  • Who confirms local availability, service coverage and the documents required for the intended workplace?

Evidence boundary

This brief uses Crown's dated manufacturer release. ForkliftIQ has not tested these trucks or verified stock, delivery dates, operating savings or site suitability. Published capacity is a manufacturer specification, not an independent test. The illustration is a generic LPG forklift concept, not a Crown product photograph or an approved operating layout.
