Hangcha describes 20 kW onboard charging for forklift procurement planning

A dated Hangcha feature describes an integrated 20 kW charger and supply choices. Buyers still need a truck-specific configuration and site requirements.

Hangcha has described a 20 kW charger integrated into the forklift rather than positioned as separate charging equipment. Its official feature dated 13 October 2026 also lists compatibility with single- and three-phase supplies. The practical question for a buyer is which truck, battery and site configuration that description covers.

What the manufacturer described

The post presents charging near the work area through a suitable power supply as the intended use of the onboard arrangement. It does not identify every supported truck model or provide a complete electrical schedule. The date is the source-post date; ForkliftIQ has not established the first commercial release date or current regional availability.

This is a separate equipment arrangement from the portable, wall and stand choices discussed in our earlier HCF charger brief. The shared 20 kW figure alone does not establish a common product, interchangeable hardware or an approved retrofit.

Why it matters to purchasing

An onboard option changes what belongs in the vehicle specification and what remains a site requirement. Ask for one written configuration record tying the truck identification, battery details, charger reference and supply requirements together. Compare the complete proposal rather than treating the headline power as a promise of charging time or an assurance that an existing socket is suitable.

Questions to resolve before ordering

  • Which exact truck and battery versions are covered, and is the charger factory supplied or part of a separately documented change?
  • What supply, connector and site-assessment documents apply to the offered configuration, and how does the stated input choice affect its documented rating?
  • Who supplies the lead, provides local service and handles charger-related downtime? Request an itemised scope and warranty terms.

Use the charger identification guide to prepare the existing equipment record, then include it in a sourcing brief.

Evidence boundary

This brief reports a dated manufacturer description. ForkliftIQ has not tested charging output, assessed a particular workplace, verified compatibility or confirmed stock. No electrical connection or installation procedure is provided.
