Jungheinrich has opened sales of its EAC 212a autonomous mobile robot, moving the product from exhibition introduction to order intake. The company announced this step on 1 October 2026 after presenting the vehicle at LogiMAT. This is an unreported October development, not a new announcement made today.
What the manufacturer announced
The EAC 212a is intended for automated pallet movement with an integrated lifting function. Jungheinrich describes links between floor storage, conveyors, production and dispatch, including interfaces with automated storage systems. Its launch announcement also identifies block-storage handling and pallet-position management among software functions available at launch. Statements about easy integration and customer demand remain the manufacturer's claims.
What this changes for a buyer
The sales milestone makes this a specific product to discuss when preparing an automation enquiry. It does not establish local delivery availability, a suitable configuration or acceptance at a particular warehouse. A useful first comparison is the handling task and its interfaces, rather than an assumed universal replacement for a manually driven truck.
Prepare a short route description before requesting an offer. Include the load carrier, collection and delivery points, operating windows, exceptions and the systems that must exchange instructions. Distinguish the vehicle supply from integration, commissioning, site validation and continuing support. This is ForkliftIQ's procurement guidance, not a report of a tested installation.
Questions to put in the enquiry
- Which pallet formats, load conditions and transfer heights are included in the proposed configuration, and what sample information is required?
- Who defines the interfaces to conveyors and warehouse software, and which modifications or excluded tasks must the buyer arrange?
- What written acceptance criteria, delivery assumptions, operator training and support responsibilities will form part of the quotation?
Use the automated forklift guide to organise the requirement, record alternatives in the model comparison brief, and prepare a sourcing request with the required operating boundaries.
Evidence boundary
This brief uses a dated company announcement. ForkliftIQ has not independently tested the robot, verified installation results or confirmed current stock. Performance and safety outcomes require project-specific evidence. The image is a conceptual pallet-transfer illustration; it does not show the EAC 212a or a customer site.
