Parts inquiry guide

Forklift Filters

Prepare the details for a model-specific parts request.

Request a replacement forklift filter using the existing filter reference and the equipment it serves. Keep oil, hydraulic, air and fuel-filter requests separate; a similar canister shape is not a confirmed match.

Build an identifiable filter request

RecordWhat to include
EquipmentForklift make, full model and serial number. Include engine or component identity from existing records where relevant.
Filter referenceExisting manufacturer and complete part number, including suffixes; readable label photo or parts-document reference.
Filter locationThe filter function and location as named in the equipment records. If uncertain, mark it as unknown rather than selecting by appearance.
Order scopeElement only, complete assembly or a service kit. List each reference and quantity separately.
Available recordsExisting application, housing or service documents. Do not remove a filter just to obtain inquiry measurements.
DestinationDelivery country and requested date; any required origin or documentation preference.

A cross-reference is a starting point

Ask the offer to identify the exact proposed filter and the equipment application used to select it. Dimensions, thread size or a similar part number alone do not establish that the proposal meets the equipment requirements.

Donaldson’s official filter lookup provides application and cross-reference information with a reminder to verify equipment-manufacturer recommendations and the application. It is a reference resource, not proof that ForkliftIQ stocks or supplies the listed items.

Keep the maintenance decision separate

This page does not prescribe a universal replacement interval. Use the applicable equipment maintenance documentation and qualified service advice for your truck and operating conditions. A parts quotation is not a maintenance schedule or installation instruction.

If the original number is unreadable, send the records you have and state what is missing. Ask what additional identification is needed before accepting an alternative. Do not treat a guessed reference as an order specification.

Confirm the written offer

Check the offered manufacturer, full reference, condition, intended application and included items. For a service kit, request a component-by-component list rather than assuming that every required filter is included.

Availability, minimum quantity, origin, price and delivery terms depend on the specific offer. No all-brand coverage, inventory size, worldwide shipping or fixed lead time is promised here.

Are matching dimensions enough to select a filter?

No. Provide the full existing reference and equipment records, and request confirmation of the proposed filter for the specific application.

What if the filter number is missing?

Send available truck, engine or component records and existing photos. Mark missing information clearly and ask what identification is needed before accepting a proposal.

Can I request a complete service kit?

State that requirement and list the filters you need. Ask the offer to specify each included part, quantity and application; kit contents and availability are not confirmed by this page.
