Documents to request

Request the complete model and option codes, current dimension drawing, fork and pallet compatibility record, battery and charger specification, operator manual, maintenance schedule, parts identification source and applicable destination-market documents. The offer should identify who approves the site application, commissions the truck, provides instruction, supports diagnostics, supplies replacement parts and carries warranty responsibility.

How to compare an alternative

Keep the handling task constant: pallet design, goods mass, entry direction, trip distance, transfer frequency, floor, gradients, operating format and charging window. Ask where each figure comes from and whether it applies to the exact quote. Low-lift transport should not be compared with rack stacking by nominal capacity alone.

Include electrical installation, chargers, spare batteries, wheels, planned service, diagnostic access, instruction, commissioning, freight and downtime support. Separate the machine price from the operating arrangements around it. Ask suppliers to identify exclusions so that a lower initial price does not hide missing equipment or support.

Commercial and delivery boundary

Record the legal seller, delivery terms, installation scope, document language, acceptance method, warranty start and responsible service entity. Require written change control for substitutions to forks, wheels, operator protection, controls, battery or charger. Agree a supervised representative-task demonstration and retain the recorded configuration with the purchase.

Parts and service identity

The complete model and serial number provide a starting point for parts research. Preserve component labels, electrical connections, dimensions, mounting details and the source of every proposed replacement. Ask for a catalogue record, drawing, supersession notice or written manufacturer confirmation rather than accepting the family name as a fitment guarantee.

Measure the route with the platform in use

A folded platform can describe a different operating envelope from a deployed platform. Ask the supplier to identify dimensions for each relevant state, including the handle and protective arms. Record where the operator can transfer goods and where the route changes direction. A single turning-radius figure cannot settle every pallet aisle or transfer-zone requirement.

Use the pallet dimensions and fork arrangement from the quote when comparing aisles. Keep the manufacturer reference drawing with the site layout and agree which conditions remain unverified. An empty machine demonstration cannot establish performance with the intended load and traffic pattern.

Keep loading interfaces inside the purchasing brief

If the job includes vehicle loading, record the receiving floor, thresholds, dock equipment, gradients and load transfer sequence. Request approval from the responsible parties for the truck and interface combination. Do not infer trailer-floor or dock suitability from a general application photograph or marketing sentence.

Agree operator instruction, daily inspection, commissioning and fault-response responsibilities before delivery. Obtain the applicable manual for the actual platform and protection arrangement. This research page asks for that evidence; it does not invent operating or emergency procedures.

Preserve the E suffix and clarify unclear table entries

Compare the model code on the offer, data sheet and delivered plate. RPL201E, RPL201 and RPL301E must not be merged into one specification. Options and regional packages also need explicit identification. Preserve the dated source of each figure and ask the seller to explain any difference before accepting a substitution.

Build a service record around the exact truck

Store the serial number, platform and guard identification, wheel dimensions, fork record, controller, brake, battery and charger labels. Safety-related controls and mechanical protection need documented replacement sources. A catalogue match or manufacturer confirmation is stronger evidence than visual similarity.
