Forklift Transmission Parts

Torque converters, clutch packs, solenoids, seals & filters

ForkliftIQ Answer

Forklift transmission parts are the components that transmit engine power to the drive axle on IC (combustion) forklifts — torque converters, forward/reverse clutch packs, control and inching solenoids, seals, gaskets, filters and oil pumps. ForkliftIQ supplies replacement transmission parts matched by transmission model, truck make-model and OEM cross-reference, compatible with Heli, Hangcha, EP, Toyota and other major brands.

Replacement forklift transmission parts for internal-combustion trucks — from single components to overhaul kits. ForkliftIQ ships torque converters, clutch packs, solenoids, seals and transmission filters factory-direct from verified suppliers, with cross-reference support and a fast parts quote.

Forklift transmission types

IC forklifts almost always use a powershift (torque-converter) transmission. A fluid torque converter couples the engine to the gearbox, and hydraulically actuated forward/reverse clutch packs let the operator shuttle direction under load without a foot clutch. This is the dominant design on diesel and LPG counterbalance trucks.

Older or lighter machines may use a manual (mechanical clutch) transmission with a dry friction clutch and gear selector. Some specialist and compact units use a hydrostatic drive, where a variable pump and motor replace the gearbox entirely. Knowing which type your truck runs is the first step to ordering correctly, because clutch packs, converters and solenoids differ completely between them.

Common transmission parts

Most transmission repairs come down to a handful of wear items. The torque converter transmits and multiplies engine torque; the forward and reverse clutch packs (friction plates, steels, pistons and springs) engage direction and are the most common wear point. Control and inching solenoids regulate hydraulic pressure and modulate creep speed, while seals and gaskets keep fluid in and contamination out. A transmission filter protects the hydraulic circuit, and the oil (charge) pump supplies pressure to the converter and clutches.

Signs of transmission trouble

Watch for slipping under load, no drive in forward or reverse, delayed or harsh engagement when shifting direction, overheating, and fluid leaks around the housing or cooler lines. These usually trace back to worn clutch friction plates, a sticking control solenoid, low or contaminated transmission fluid, or a failing charge pump. Confirm the root cause with a fluid-level and condition check and, where possible, clutch and converter pressure readings before ordering — replacing the wrong part is the most common and costly mistake.

How to identify the right part

The reliable path is the transmission model and part number stamped on the transmission housing or listed in your service manual, cross-checked against the truck make, model and serial (VIN) plate. Many forklift transmissions are shared units built by common driveline makers and fitted across several truck brands, so the same clutch pack or solenoid can appear under different OEM numbers.

If the numbers are worn off, send us the transmission type, truck make-model, serial-plate photo and a photo of the failed part, and we'll cross-reference against OEM part numbers. Parts are listed as compatible with named brands; they are aftermarket replacements, not OEM-branded unless stated.

Compatibility & sourcing

ForkliftIQ sources transmission parts factory-direct from verified suppliers, including a parts partner carrying 85,000+ SKUs across electric and IC forklift platforms. Coverage spans Heli, Hangcha, EP, Toyota, UN Forklift, Xilin and other common fleets. We dropship worldwide on FOB or CIF terms and confirm fitment before shipping rather than publishing specs we can't guarantee. Frequently Asked Questions

How do I identify the right forklift transmission part?

Start with the transmission model and part number stamped on the transmission housing or listed in your service manual. If those are missing, send us your forklift make, model and serial/VIN plate photo plus a photo of the old part, and we'll cross-reference the correct fitment.

Can you supply just a clutch pack or solenoid, not the whole transmission?

Yes. We supply individual components — torque converters, forward/reverse clutch packs, control and inching solenoids, seal and gasket kits, transmission filters and oil pumps — as well as complete assemblies. Tell us the failed part and we'll quote the component you need.

What are the common signs of forklift transmission trouble?

Typical symptoms include slipping under load, no drive in forward or reverse, delayed or harsh engagement, overheating, and fluid leaks. Many are traced to worn clutch packs, sticking control solenoids, low or contaminated fluid, or a failing oil pump — confirm with pressure and fluid checks before ordering.

Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for transmission parts?

MOQ varies by part and whether you need a single repair component, a seal/overhaul kit or distributor volume. Send your part list in a quote request and we'll confirm available quantities, lead time and pricing.

Need this part fast?
