NOVA FL4 compact warning lighthead

The short, four-optic member of the FL family, with its own 94.4 mm body and a separately listed 6 W maximum-power entry.

Presentation follows the supplier FL4 reference. It is not a dimensioned drawing, packing list, measured lighting result or approval record.

Understand this catalogue entry

FL4 is the short-body reference in the official FL lighthead table. Its photograph shows four optical cells in one horizontal row, while its dimensioned envelope is 94.4 × 25.6 × 10 mm. This is a different body from the 130 mm FL6 and the taller two-row FL12. A separate FL4 ordering reference helps a buyer request the smaller assembly without describing it only as a generic six-LED lighthead.

The catalogue lists 6 W in the maximum-power column. A different LED column describes single, dual, tri and quad versions as 4/8/12/16 × 3 W. Those component descriptions are not substituted for the maximum-power entry or multiplied to invent actual assembled current. The input entry is 10–30 V; pattern counts depend on the colour configuration.

The family source mentions surface, adhesive and bracket mounting. These are alternatives to identify in the quotation, not evidence that every fixing is included. The catalogue uses IP67 wording, whereas the existing FL6 webpage has its own environmental and approval-status statements. FL6 webpage values are not used to upgrade the FL4 specification. Obtain the record for the exact offered colour and optical revision.

Procurement checklist

Resolve these points before comparing offers

Keep the item identity, physical version and supply scope together. Use the questions alongside the published specifications when preparing a sourcing brief.

Is the short FL4 body the intended item?

State FL4 explicitly and request a current labelled photograph and dimensioned drawing. Compare the complete envelope, mounting span, cable exit and connector clearance with the intended location. The 94.4 mm length is useful for distinguishing the compact body, but the photograph alone does not establish a fixing pattern or machine-specific fit. Retain the full code and quantity in the purchasing brief.

Which colour version and control behaviour are selected?

Ask whether the quoted unit is single, dual, tri or quad colour, which emitted colours are included and which pattern/dimming functions apply. The table gives different pattern counts for single and multi-colour versions. Do not assume that a single amber presentation is a colour-changing unit or that a controller borrowed from another warning-light family will operate it.

What electrical records and mounting items are supplied?

Request documented consumption for the selected version, the applicable input limits and a written list of bezel, bracket, adhesive, cable and other supplied items. Keep the 6 W catalogue entry separate from the LED component labels until the supplier clarifies rating conditions. Obtain relevant environmental and approval documents; a family claim does not independently establish certification, present stock or suitability for a particular installation.

Keep the machine interface separate

A catalogue input range does not establish compatibility with an electric forklift’s traction battery or accessory circuit. Ask the equipment supplier to identify the documented accessory supply, control interface and intended application. The truck model, serial number and installed-component record remain important even when a lamp or controller looks similar.

Sources and evidence limits

The official catalogue supports this printed reference, pictured body and attributed entries. Publication date, current inventory, authorization, tested output, certification scope and machine fit are not independently verified. Obtain current documentation for the exact offered configuration. Missing specifications are not copied from neighbouring products.

This reference is neither a quotation nor a stock, delivery or authorisation commitment. Request a current written proposal from the quoting entity. Preserve the item reference, quantity, destination and included accessories in that proposal so that changes of configuration remain visible.
